This class, taught by Sarah Jane Perbix or Liz Hawkinson, is for our young beginners ready to try piano for the first time. A group class is a wonderful way to start playing piano at this age. After many requests, we’re also pleased to add an option for our 9-11 year olds who are beginning for the first time.

We learn musical skills focusing on singing, playing, ear training, and music movement. This comprehensive class will progress through a method book together through song and play. Practice is required at home on a keyboard or piano. This is a great chance to develop the beginning skills for piano studies in a exciting and well-paced learning environment.

Please note: Parents are required to stay and participate in the class for ages 4-5 and 6-8, not for 9-11. Parental involvement is key to success with our early beginners. We strongly advise that you find alternate child-care for siblings so you can have full attention on our piano learner.
