Jenny Slivinski - Flute, Clarinet, Oboe, Saxophone
she/her

Jenny Slivinski is a passionate music educator and woodwind multi-instrumentalist who believes in developing a well-rounded musician. Through employing solid fundamentals, she aims to develop the full artist from the inside out. She strives to nurture individual creativity and expression with the understanding that each student has his or her own voice and unique purpose with the instrument. She is also a strong advocate of complete body awareness: how the entire body aids in the process of creating the ideal sound and how best to use the body in order to avoid pain and unnecessary tensions. Using these ideas, she actively collaborates with each student to form a plan that will nurture their love and enjoyment of music, while meeting their individual performance goals. Many of her students have been members of Greater Twin Cities Youth Symphonies, Minnesota Youth Symphonies, Minnesota Junior Winds, Minnesota All-State Bands and Orchestras, various college sponsored honor bands, and several have gone on to study music at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Jenny has been teaching since 2008. She is an active freelance musician in the Twin Cities area. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her dog and her husband, watching  movies, playing Nintendo, and she has an extensive knowledge of Disney trivia. Jenny studied Music and Business Administration at the University of Minnesota Duluth.
