Join us for our most popular classes for young pianists and their grown-ups. This comprehensive class shows our young students the foundational skills of music through the piano. This 50 minute weekly class is constantly changing activities to keep students engaged including singing, movement, drumming, and of course lots of piano playing. Our veteran teachers, Sarah Jane and Liz, will help kids and parents learn how to make music together.

Our 4-5 year old class is a wonderfully paced class for our youngest learners relying first on ear training and pitch recognition to play piano instead of solely note reading. Our 6-8 year old class moves quicker to accommodate elementary age kids who are ready to read and play.

Parents (or another caregiver) are required to attend class with their child. Please find other childcare arrangements for any siblings so as not to distract the learning environment in the classroom, as well as providing a much needed focus on our young music learner.

A piano or weighted keyboard are required for home practice.

This program is set to be the foundation of their piano and music education. Students ‘graduate’ after 1 or 2 years of group learning and then move on to private lessons. We find our graduates to be talented, confident pianists with impeccable rhythm and reading skills, prepared to take on whatever instrument they choose to learn next.
